All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), SDG 1 (No Poverty), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).

Core Functions
1. Women's Economic Empowerment
- Linking women to skills acquisition programmes, vocational trainings, and small-scale enterprise support
- Encouraging access to micro-credit, cooperative schemes, and empowerment projects
- Supporting women's participation in leadership and decision-making at community level
2. Poverty Reduction and Livelihoods
- Coordinating local aspects of poverty alleviation programmes
- Identifying poor and vulnerable households for inclusion in empowerment or support schemes
- Partnering with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector for livelihood programmes
3. Protection and Social Inclusion
- Promoting awareness on the rights of women and children
- Encouraging the reporting and addressing of gender-based violence through appropriate channels
- Ensuring programmes are inclusive of widows, single mothers, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups
4. Advocacy and Community Engagement
- Working with community and religious leaders to promote gender equity and family wellbeing
- Organising community dialogues, sensitisation campaigns, and commemorative events
