Lagos Island Local Government Holds Year 2024 Budget Retreat, Budget Centered On Four Points Agenda
In readiness for Year 2024 Fiscal policy year Lagos Island Local Government held its Budget Retreat centered on: FOUR POINTS AGENDA on Thursday 23rd November, 2023 at Academy Guest House & Event Hall, Agindigbi Ikeja, Lagos.
The Executive Chairman Hon. Tijani Adetoyese Olusi in his Speech delivered made a brief recap of year 2023 activities; Provisions of Palliative, Health care services, Education and Infrastructure.
His Administration was able to achieve the programs through the cooperation of the Executive members and Management Team. The Four Points Agenda Aimed for next year includes: Affordable Health care services, A Befitting Local Government Secretariat, Vocational Education for the Youths, Skills Acquisition for Women and continuity of Infrastructural Renewal within the Local Government Environs to achieve this the untapped must be tapped in terms of Internal Generated Revenue(IGR) which will form part of the funding mechanism in year 2024.
Furthermore, the council boss emphasized there would be a regular Monthly health check for staff without leaving anyone behind and it will be a mandatory process for all to partake in the exercise.
The council manager Prince Dr Adegbola Sunday Olujobi aswell appreciates the executive chairman in his visionary drive determined taking the local government to a greater and enviable height, He thereby seek the cooperation of all political office holders , management and the entire staff for tremendous success in the Executive chairman’s bid for a more better Lagos island local government. The council manager also cheered the Area officers up to be highly diligent and to be more proactive in their schedules of Internal generated revenue for the local government so that the local government would be in sound foot to achieve its aim and impact more meaningfully to the local government Areas .
Supervisor for Budget Hon Hakeem Ajao in his Welcome Address states the present year achievements, appreciate the Administration of the Executive Chairman prays for more success in the coming year.
In conclusion, continuous cooperation of both the Executive members and Management Team as well as entire staffs were seek for by the Executive Chairman for a successful year ahead.
