
Lagos Island Council Authority Begins Desilting of Drainages and Canals
The Lagos Island local government, through the Department of environmental health services has commenced the desilting of drainages and canals across the area council.
The first port of call was the Ebute Ero community and its environment.
According to the executive chairman, Hon. Taiwo Oyekan, the community sanitation exercise, was strategically planned to curb persistent flooding and ensure free flow of water waste into the lagoon.
Upon completion, the waste would be evacuated.
The Oyekan’s administration is committed to a cleaner environment.
