Hon. Prince Tijani Adetoyese Olusi, the Executive Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government, has presented the proposed 2025 budget to the Legislative Arm. The budget, tagged “Budget of Sustainable Development,” aims to sustain economic growth, bridge the gap between the rich and the poor, and consolidate past gains.
The proposed budget size is approximately ₦8.624 billion, with a focus on sectors such as education, health, environment, and empowerment. The Chairman acknowledged the outstanding performance of the 2024 budget and expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their contributions and cooperation.
The Leader of the house promised to expedite the budget’s passage after careful review, thanking the Chairman, community, and stakeholders for their cooperation. Dignitaries present at the event included the Vice Chairman, Exco members, Council Manager, management staff, and political stakeholders.
